At ImmiMentor, we don’t simply provide answers—we help you build confidence, strengthen your legal analysis, and develop sound decision-making skills so every file becomes a learning opportunity. Our goal is not to create dependency, but to help you become an independent, competent, and confident immigration professional.
We believe there is no such thing as a silly question. Every experienced practitioner was once a beginner, and every expert started by asking questions. We are here to support your growth, never to judge what you should or shouldn’t know.
While we are grateful to our academic institutions for providing the foundation of our legal education, no institution—not even Harvard or Oxford—can fully prepare anyone for the realities of day-to-day practice. Real-life cases often present challenges that go far beyond the classroom.

Our Professional Co-Counselling & Mentorship service is designed exclusively for RCICs, lawyers, articling students, and immigration law students seeking practical guidance from experienced mentors while maintaining full ownership of their files. Whether you’re handling your first application or a complex legal matter, we’re here to support your professional journey.
Important Note
Our mentors provide professional guidance, legal analysis, and strategic recommendations. The file remains under the full responsibility of the authorized representative of record, who is responsible for verifying all facts, evidence, forms, legal submissions, and information before submission to IRCC or any other authority.
None of our mentors claim credit for your success or accept responsibility for an unsuccessful outcome. Their role is to provide guidance and mentorship only, unless they are formally engaged as a Co-Counsel under a tripartite service agreement between you, the Co-Counsel (one of our mentors), and your client. In such cases, the Co-Counsel’s roles, responsibilities, and professional obligations will be governed by the terms of that agreement.
We may not be able to assist with every application or service request, as we are committed to providing support only in areas where we have the necessary expertise and competence.

This session is designed for practitioners who are looking for practical guidance at the beginning of a file.
During the consultation, one of our mentors will:

- Share practical considerations based on similar cases.
- Suggest possible legal or procedural approaches.

- A newly licensed RCIC handling a first Study Permit application.
- An articling student preparing their first Visitor Visa file.
- A lawyer expanding into Canadian immigration practice who may have been practicing in other jurisdictions like real-estate, family law etc.

Refusal review & second opinion
Designed for professionals dealing with refused or legally challenging files.
Sometimes the best way to strengthen a re-application is to first understand what went wrong.
Our mentors will:
- Review the previous application and refusal reasons.
- Identify possible weaknesses in the original submission.
- Discuss whether the issue relates to evidence, legal arguments, documentation, or case strategy.
- Recommend practical approaches for the next application.

End-to-End co-counsel / mentorship
Ideal for practitioners who would like ongoing support throughout an entire file.
Rather than providing isolated advice, we work alongside you from the initial planning stage until your application is ready for submission. We provide the entire support in three stages.
Stage One – planning & creating document checklist
Together, we’ll build the framework of the application.
This typically includes:
- Reviewing the client’s circumstances.
- Identifying legal strengths and potential risks.
- Developing the overall case strategy.
- Preparing a customized document checklist.
- Discussing submission letter strategy and supporting evidence.
Stage Two – file development and providing clarity
As your file progresses, this session allows you to discuss questions, concerns, or new developments.
Topics often include:
- Complex eligibility issues.
- Choosing between different legal approaches.
- Addressing procedural fairness concerns.
- Reviewing supporting evidence before finalization.
- Discussing unique client circumstances.
Where additional legal research is required, our mentor will assist with clarification with a well-supported response.
Stage Three – final case review
Before submission, one of our mentors will conduct a comprehensive review of your application package.
The review focuses on:
- Overall legal strategy.
- Quality of legal arguments.
- Consistency between forms and supporting documents.
- Strength of the submission letter.
- Overall presentation of the application.
