This article is specifically prepared for the EPE cohort writing the exam on May 27, 2026. All dates referenced apply only to this cohort.
We will update the information for the next group (EPE exam date: Sep 02, 2026) once the current cohort has completed their exam. If you are scheduled to write the EPE on a later date, please refer to the College’s official website for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Key dates and deadlines
- By Apr 22, 2026: Submit your Qualification Application on the College Portal and pay the qualification fee.
- By May 6, 2026: Complete your Registration Application, pay the Registration Fee, and submit the Assessment Accommodation Request Verification Form (if needed).
- By May 22, 2026: Submit a deferral request and pay the deferral fee if you need to move to a later exam date.
- On Jul 15, 2026: Approximate date of release of the result.
Fees Overview
- Application Fee: $75
- Exam – First Attempt: $425
- Exam – Subsequent Attempts: $325
- Exam – First Attempt (Paralegal): Waived
- Administrative Fee – Deferral: $75
- Administrative Fee – No Show: $150
- Administrative Fee – Exam ID Infraction: $150
Registration process
Qualification application submission
- Log in to your College Portal account.
- Go to “Initial Licence” → “Submit EPE Qualification Application.”
- Upload ID, add education details, and pay the qualification fee.
- Once approved, return to submit the EPE Registration Application.
- Select exam language, request accommodations (if any), and pay the exam fee.
- Only the exam dates you qualify for will appear.
Note: To complete the Qualification Application, you will be required to provide valid proof of identity. Detailed requirements can be found here. Your identity document must be verified by a Guarantor, Referee, or Authorized Person, and the verification form can be downloaded here.

Deferring Your EPE Exam (if needed)
- Log in to your College Portal.
- Submit your EPE Registration Application and pay the exam fee.
- Go to Initial Licence → Start Entry-to-Practice Deferral Application.
- Pay the $75 deferral fee before the deadline (May 22, 2026).
Assessment Accommodations (if needed)
- Assessment accommodations are available for candidates with documented disabilities.
- Review Section 8 of the RCIC EPE Candidate Guide for full details.
- Submit the Assessment Accommodation Request Verification Form through the College Portal when you complete your Registration Application.
- Make sure to follow the published deadline (May 06, 2026).
